Travelled strongly in 5th place 4Ls off the pace, showed his class with a powerful turn of foot final 250M, led near 100M and lengthened away from the consistent runner-up.

Tracked leader, wrestled the lead nearing 200M, kept on well but could not match winner's turn of foot inside 150M.

Taken back to last about 8Ls behind leader, switched wide passing 600M, never looked like getting to the first two but ran on best of the rest to claim 3rd in a blanket finish.

Slow to begin, settled behind midfield along the rails, ran on steadily up the inside for a never threatening 4th.

Chased leaders, couldn't sprint with the first 2 when the race got serious, kept on to 100M then faded and lost 3rd near line.

Close up in 4th, well placed to strike turning in, not pace of first 2 inside 300M, flattened out late stages.

Began awkwardly and lost ground, settled in 2nd last 7Ls off the pace, hung in over the final straight and was difficult to ride as usual, stayed on.
