Quickly into stride, travelled strongly behind leader, loomed 200M out and came with a strong run to take the lead near 50M, kept on for an impressive win over some noted course specialists.

Never far off 2Ls behind leader but was 3-wide throughout, ran on under urge and made a late surge final 100M to go 2nd.Just before the line.

3ROMANTIC CITY  Z Purton

Overcame a wide draw and soon crossed to the lead, dictated the race with a very steady tempo, quickened again 350M out and kept on gamely, headed nearing 50M.

4HIGH POINT  C Y Ho  (SW)

Chased leader, lacked extra pace to challenge inside 300M but kept on steadily to the line.

5FORTUNE RED PEPPER  C K Tong

Not hurried in early stages, taken across to the fence and raced towards the rear 4-5Ls off the pace, met minor interference near 200M, stayed on well.

6WATCH WHAT HAPPENS  K C Leung  (XB/H)

Restrained behind midfield but proved difficult to settle in the middle stages, closed off the race well but was awkwardly placed behind horses near 150M, ran on again when clear.

Outpaced early stages, urged along to take a midfield position along the 3-path, kept on evenly inside 300M, not beaten far.

Broke well then restrained to race in midfield about 3Ls off the pace, pushed along inside 500M but could keep on at the same pace only.

Along the fence in mid-division, made a short-lived effort on straightening, flattened 200M then weakened over the final stages.

Lost ground at the start then hampered near 1000M, ended up near last 6Ls behind leader, made limited progress final 300M. Never threatened.
