1PAGANINI'S SOUL  D Whyte  (XB)

Showed good early speed and shared the lead along the inside, quickened into a decisive advantage 250M under confident handling, kept on well to the line and fought off a strong challenge from the runner-up in late stages.

2MILITARY MOVE  D Beadman  (XB1/H)

Keen early stages, placed 4-wide towards the rear but not far off from the pace, picked up nicely but not as quickly as the winner, stayed on well final 200M and was nearest at the finish.

3DANZULU  Z Purton  (B)

Waited with near the rear, swung 3-wide for home, shifted to outside of track inside 400M, finished off the race well and was just bettered by two seriously good horses.

4GRAND DANCER  M Guyon  (B)

Held up in mid-division 3-wide, made good progress to 150M, flattened late.

5TRIUMPHANT COLOURS  O Doleuze  (SR)

Not hurried, settled at the back 6Ls off the pace and raced 4-wide, made some late progress.

6ALWAYS SOMETHING  J Lloyd

Held up towards the rear, not suited by the steady pace and was difficult to settle in the first half, held up 400M to 300M, progressed steadily to the line after switching out into clear.

7BERIO  K C Leung  (V)

Pushed to the lead one off the fence, headed by winner soon after straightening, kept on same pace to 200M then faded.

8EXPRESS WIN  T H So  (TT)

One off the fence in midfield and well covered, held up passing 300M when beginning his challenge, ran on when clear final 200M.

9NUGGET WARRIOR  M Chadwick

Taken across behind runners, settled out the back 6Ls off the pace, held up along the fence and unable to obtain clear running until 200M, finished off the race fairly late stages.

10BUSINESS AS USUAL  N Callan  (H1)

Taken across to the fence behind runners but was a shade keen in early stages, stayed on without threatening in straight but nevertheless a reasonable first up effort.

11DRAGON FIGHTER  Y T Cheng

Slow to begin but soon recovered to track leaders, was close enough over 400M out but couldn't respond to pressure, dropped out 100M.

12TURF EXPRESS  G Mosse  (TT)

Raced 3-wide with leaders, shaken up nearing 400M but found nothing under pressure, dropped out rapidly inside 200M.

13MIGHTY SUN  C K Tong  (B)

With leaders early on then dropped back to a midfield position along the rail, lacked a response when asked early straight, weakened 200M.

14NEW GLORY  C W Wong

Went forward but caught 4-wide outside the leaders, soon dropped away turning for home, eased late on. (Jockey was advised not to cover unnecessary ground.)
