Ridden along in rear of midfield in 7th just over 3L off the pace, similar turning in, ran on under pressure to just defy runner-up's strong late challenge to the line.

2着ALL IN MIND　　J Moreira　　(H/XB/TT)

Jumped awkwardly losing ground, trailed 5L back in last of the small field on the rail, angled out for a run entering home straight, ran on well near the centre of the track to just fail to get up on line. (Tactic questioned)
3着LIKE THAT　　K C Leung　　(V)

Close up early, settled some 2L back in 5th coming onto home bend, came to challenge under pressure after straightening, fought on steadily without threatening.

4着MR COLOURFUL　　M F Poon　　(CP1/TT)

Held narrow lead out wide from a wide gate, crossed to the rail coming onto home bend, kicked 1L clear under pressure inside the 300 metres, collared 50 metres out.

Ridden forward to come within 2L of pace in 4th on the rail, behind runners early in straight, fought on steadily under pressure, hampered near finish. (Reported roarer)

Ridden forward to travel just outside race leader, in similar position in 2nd turning for home, unable to sustain inside final 180 metres.
