Good position in running when forth, away from the rail stalking the leading pair. First to come under vigorous riding approaching the bend before finishing strongly in the straight to charge to narrow lead in final stages.
2着HOT KING PRAWN　　J Moreira

Strode to lead soon after start & enjoyed very slow first section. Continued to hold narrow lead until being caught by winner in inside final 50m. Held narrow second.

3着BIG PARTY　　C Schofield　　(CP-)

Pushed forward to race outside leader. Moved up to effectively share the lead near the 50m before over-run by fast closing winner. Narrowly beaten.

4着FAT TURTLE　　C Y Ho　　(B)

Began only fairly & settled two pairs back inside another runner. Just under 4L from the lead entering the last section before finishing off strongly in closing stages to be just behind. Fastest last section.

5着JOLLY BANNER　　V Borges　　(B)

Not ridden after start & settled in second half when a little wide in early & middle stages. Was just under 4L from the lead entering last section before making good late headway to be beaten less than a length.
6着WISHFUL THINKER　　A Hamelin　　(B)

Didn't have the early speed of others & settled at the rear. Shifted wider on straightening before entering last section over 5L from lead. Made up a few lengths in straight but never threatened.

7着DRAGON GENERAL　　K C Leung　　(TT)

Drifted back after the start & raced near the rear. Continued at the tail nearing the bend before being forced wider on straightening. Made up a few lengths relative to frontrunners in straight but still beat only one home.
8着WALDORF　　K Teetan　　(B/TT)

Improved soon after the start to race on leaders back. Came under hard riding on cornering before weakening out in the straight to last.
