1着LUCKY YEAR　　M L Yeung　　(TT)

Kicked well, and made sure he led up the back straight. Never asked the question until challenged at 300m. Tended to lay out under the stick late, and challenged again at the 100m, but kicked again to go 2 from 2.
2着STRATHMORE　　T Berry　　(B/TT)

Began well, and elected to sit in behind the leader, on the rails with cover. Came off at the 300m to challenge. Wanted to lay out, but kept going. Got nose in front at the 150m, but winner kicked and was outmuscled late.
3着LUCKY DAY　　N Callan　　(B/TT)

Moderately away, stuck wide up the back straight looking for a run, eventually settling handy 3 wide. Checked 900m. Was running on well late and off heels at 200m, finishing better than 2nd late, but just ran out of room late.
4着SPICY SURE　　D Whyte

Bounded on jumping and slow away, before finding a position midfield on the rails. Stuck in traffic down the straight before cutting back in for a run at 150m, but never ran on when clear late.
5着GREAT CHARM　　O Doleuze　　(SR)

Not used up early, and sat just worse than midfield 3 off the rail. Raced keenly mid race. Came widest on turn and had clear air for the trip, but was only running on fairly late.
6着AMBER DRAGON　　C Y Ho　　(TT)

Pushed along early, but never mustered and settled at the rear of the field. Last at 300m, and chased hard late to finish creditably.
7着RIGHTEOUS　　Z Purton　　(B)

Flew out of the gates, and proved extremely difficult to settle early. Eventually found a position midfield, 1 off the fence. Checked off heels 1100m. Had a clear run in the straight, but only plugged away.
8着POPPING CANDY　　B Prebble　　(B-/TT)

Dropped back from the wide gate to sit mid-back early. Took the inside passage in straight, but 1 paced and never threatened.
9着TRIUMPHANT LIGHT　　A Suborics

Began fairly, and found a position just behind midfield 1 off the fence. Couldn't get a run until 300m, but only ran on fairly and was easing up late.
10着GALLANT TRIUMPH　　T H So　　(B/TT)

Slow to begin, and drifted back to last. Held the rails, but never kicked in the straight and eased out late.
11着SEA WARRIOR　　W M Lai　　(TT)

Dropped back from the wide gate to sit at the tail of the field, 1 off the rail. Came wider in straight, but never ran on.
12着DIVINE BOY　　H N Wong　　(H/TT)

Pushed up early to challenge leader, before sitting just behind 1 off the fence. Race was done by the 350m, and weakened badly in the straight.
13着TARZAN I AM　　C Y Lui　　(TT)

Pushed along early to sit in the leading group, despite being trapped 3-4 wide with no cover. Prominent at the top of the straight, but dropped back conspicuously to be tailed off.
14着SILLY BUDDIES　　J Moreira

Began OK, and sat in a handy position 1 off the rail early. Had difficulty getting a run in the straight, and eased out when steadied off heels at the 200m.
