Pressed forward and crossed to the lead 1200M, set good pace to straight, opened up 2L lead 300M, dug deep closing stages to hold off a late challenge.
2FIGHTING MACHINE  K De Melo  (B-/SR/V1)

From draw 2 went forward to chase leader, well placed to strike 400M, fought hard to line but winner always had enough to hold on.

3TALENTS AMBITION  H Bowman  (B/XB)

Jumped only fairly, reserved near last 6-7Ls off leader, brought widest 500M, had plenty to make up top of straight, closed off well to go 3rd near line.
4NEVER TOO SOON  B Thompson

Away well enough from draw 1, reserved in midfield along the fence, fought on steadily on straightening but never able to challenge first two.
5LESLIE  P N Wong  (B-/PC2)

Began well, raced in a more forward position than previous starts, caught wide no cover for majority of the race, went 3rd mid-straight but couldn't sustain run late stages.
6JOLLY RULER  H Bentley  (TT)

From wide draw dropped back to race in the last spot 8Ls off the pace, moved up to 11th place 400M but still had plenty to do, had no clear running 300M before finishing off reasonably well to take 6th.
7TOP GUN  M Chadwick

From draw 14 shifted across behind runners in the early stages, raced towards the rear 6Ls back, saved ground throughout but the finishing response final 400M was only fair.
8CAPITAL LEGEND  A Badel  (TT)

Up with early pace, ended up chasing leaders from 1200M, under pressure to keep up 600M, kept on fairly on straightening and was always held by leaders.
9YELLOWFIN  C L Chau  (XB)

Jumped on terms, couldn't get any closer than 3-wide, chased leaders early before settling down in midfield, ran home one paced final 400M under top weight. Never a threat to leaders.
10PERFECT TEAM  A Hamelin  (P/TT)

Jumped only fairly, settled in 2nd half of the field, little change in position turning home, 5Ls to make up but failed to make any progress.
11APACHE PASS  L Ferraris  (CP)

Positively ridden, chased leader from 1200m, hard driven 450M but soon gave ground and dropped out of contention. (Jockey : instructed to hold an on-pace position.)
12LUCK IS BACK  K C Leung

Jumped awkwardly, settled in mid-division 4-5Ls off the pace early and middle stages, under pressure 650M to hold its position, soon weakened out of contention turning home.
13ACE WAR  M L Yeung  (CP-/B1)

Obtained a 3-wide position in midfield early stages, shuffled back to last making the turn for home and soon left behind by rivals on straightening.
14NAMJONG KINGDOM  A Pouchin  (TT)

Unable to slot in, caught racing 4-wide from early stages, lost cover 800M and was already gone turning into straight. Eased when no chance.
