Made all setting a fast pace early in back straight holding a 2L break, came back to within 1L of 2nd rounding home bend, hung on well under pressure in the run to the line.

Broke well but soon taken back to 3L 3rd and over 4L off the fast pace early in back straight, chased along in 3rd rounding home bend, baulked behind eventual winner after straightening, unable to draw level throughout.

Restrained from a poor draw to last few in 9th on rail, ran on well between runners in straight to be nearest at finish.

4SETANTA  L Hewitson  (B/TT)

Settled well behind, commenced move from over 450 metres out and widest into straight, ran on well under pressure inside final 200 metres down the centre of the track.

5IVY LEAGUE  M Chadwick  (SR/XB/TT)

Held up wide in last few from the widest draw travelling keenly at times in back straight, commenced move rounding home bend but behind runners early in straight, fought on to be nearest at finish.

6COMET SPLENDIDO  K H Chan  (TT)

Unbalanced at start settling just worse than midfield 3-wide without cover, commenced move 3-wide 500 metres out to reach 3L 5th briefly shortly after, kept on at the one pace under pressure in the run to the line.

Settled just worse than midfield on rail, inconvenienced passing the 200 metres, kept on same pace without quickening under pressure thereafter.

Jumped awkwardly and soon taken back well behind, saved ground on rail turning in for home, produced good late impression inside final 100 metres.

Jumped moderately gradually improving to 2nd on rail, chased 2L back in the fast pace early in back straight, unable to draw level under pressure in the final stretch, found no extra under pressure inside final 200 metres.

Improved steadily from a poor draw before settling in 4th and over 6L back in back straight half-way out, gained closer to about 2L 4th when pace slackened rounding home bend, weakened under pressure inside final 200 metres.

Jumped well before gradually settling over 7L back in 5th in the fast pace in mid-way down back straight, folded up under pressure quickly shortly after straightening.
