Crowded & steadied soon after start before getting position in midfield along the rail. Travelled strongly & moved away from rail near 400m, closed strongly down the outside to steal lead at 50m mark & continued on to win.

2JOLLY HONOUR  H Bowman  (B/TT)

Steadied after start & taken back to second last. Was 8L from the lead entering last section, dashed well between runners at 150m mark before closing strongly in late stages to move to second inside last 50m.

3BEAUTY NOVA  V Borges  (P-/H/TT)

Shifted inwards soon after start before getting good position in midfield away from rail. Eased three wide to improve near 450m, moved to narrow lead fleetingly near 100m before over-run by first two in final stages.

4SURE WIN WIN  C L Chau  (B)

Had a soft run in midfield along the rail throughout. Was 4L behind entering last section, straightened along the rail before making continual steady ground under hard riding to only be beaten 1.5L.

5SUNNY BABY  C Y Ho

Steadied after start & taken back top race third last on rail. Moved away from rail near the 400m when 6.5L from lead, shifted to be second widest on straightening before making late ground down the outside, only 2L behind.

6SMART FOLKS  K Teetan  (B)

Had a nice run third on the rail throughout. Had clear running on straightening as first two raced a length clear, battled on ok but couldn't finish off as strongly as others & was 2.5L behind in midfield.

7AMAZING NEWS  A Hamelin  (E/P)

Crowded & lost running in first 100m before moving three wide & improving position to race outside the leader from 1100m. Moved up to share lead at the 250m, continued close until over-run in final 100m & fading late (mucus).

8CIRCUIT SPIRITANTO  Z Purton  (B)

Pushed forward to lead. Continued in lead until being joined near 250m mark, peaked soon after before weakening out quickly in last 75m.

9RING BELLS  R Maia  (B/XB)

Ridden forward at start before getting nice run 1,1 from the 1100m. Was only about 3L from the lead on straightening before weakening a length or so when finishing 9th.

10HANG'S CHOICE  K C Leung  (B/TT)

Shifted behind runners from outside gate & raced at the tail. Continued last & just under 9L from lead approaching the corner, made up a few lengths in straight but couldn't make sufficient ground to challenge, third last.

11RED IMPACT  L Hewitson  (V/XB/TT)

Steadied shortly after the start & raced 4th last away from the rail. Continued over 7L from the lead entering the final section before making no ground at all in the straight & finishing second last.

12POLARIS WINNER  L Ferraris  (B-/TT1)

Didn't begin fast & was then ridden to hold position in midfield after first bend. Came under hard ridding entering final section when 6L from lead, was the widest runner on straightening before weakening out poorly, last.
