Pushed forward, raced at the leaders quarters. Moved up to share the lead from 300m mark, overpowered immediate challenger in final 100m to win by just over 1L.
2SPLENDID LIVING  K C Leung  (TT)

Pushed forward to lead from widest gate before crossing to the rail just before the 900m bend. Joined & shared lead from 300m, tried very hard but couldn't go with winner in last 100m.

3WAR WEAPON  H Bowman  (TT)

Taken back to share last place when racing away from rail. Continued last on straightening, was badly held up before being checked away from heels near 300m, shifted inwards passing 200m & flew home late for unlucky third.
4HELENE ALLIBOR  B Shinn  (B/TT2)

Had a soft run in midfield along the rail. Finished off one paced in the straight & held well beaten 4th on the line.
5TURBO POWER  R Maia  (P-/B1)

Shifted behind runners after start, was last early before improving position along the rail in middle stages to be in midfield by half-way. Stayed along the rail on straightening, moved to third at 200m before over-run late.
6HORSESAIN BOLT  J McDonald  (B/TT)

Raced wide in midfield at start before drifting further back & being relegated to second last near 850m. Shifted to be the widest runner on cornering when about 6L behind before making some ground to midfield late.
7COMMANDING MISSILE  C L Chau  (B/H/TT)

Bumped heavily & lost ground after the start and consequently raced at the rear. Continued at the back on cornering, straightened 4.5L from lead when continuing along rail but finished only one paced to midfield.
8EQUILIBRIUM TURBO  M Chadwick  (B-/H)

Missed the start by a length before mustering to race in midfield between runners. Was ridden along before straightening, made no impression in the run to the line & was no threat.
9KING ECCELLENTE  L Hewitson  (H/SR/XB)

Got back to race just worse than midfield between runners. Was relegated to third last near the 600m, was 5.5L from the lead on straightening, was held up until the 200m mark before passing a few late.
10COMING PATCH  S De Sousa  (V)

Missed start by a length before racing worse than midfield. Raced keen & steadied away from heels near 800m, was held up for clear running in early part of straight & again near 150m but never really looked a challenger.

Pushed forward & held narrow lead fleetingly after start before racing third away from the rail. Entered last section only 2.5L from lead before emptying early in straight & giving ground in last 250m.
12PEAK TO PEAK  C Y Ho  (PC/TT)

Raced three wide with cover in midfield throughout. Eased wider on straightening when just over 4L from the lead before weakening poorly in final furlong.
13SUPERB MOVE  H Bentley  (B/TT1)

Was trapped racing four wide without cover when just worse than midfield. Continued to cover additional ground around the bend when wide, weakened out quickly in last 250m after very wide passage.
14AMBITIOUS HEART  J McNeil  (B/TT)

Was trapped racing three wide no cover in midfield throughout. Continued to cover additional ground around the bend, entered last section just over 3L from the lead before weakening out quickly in final 250m after tough run.
