Slightly slow out, ridden along just worse than midfield in 7th, awkwardly placed behind runners when tempo slackened inside the 650 metres, saved ground turning for home and snuck up on the rail to prevail in final few strides.

Ridden forward from a wide gate to lead 1100 metres out, obtained rails run 800 metres out and held narrow advantage until headed over 200 metres out, fought on dourly but unable to defy winner's late charge.

Pressed forward after moderate start from a wide gate, travelled 4-wide in 2nd before gaining closer to rail alongside race leader 850 metres out, hit the front briefly inside the 200 metres only to be headed over 50 metres out.

Settled one back in 4th on the rail, switched off heels for a run over 200 metres out, fought on steadily without threatening.
