Comments

1WINNING METHOD  M Chadwick  (TT)

Moderate start, settled in midfield over 3L back in 6th on the rail, angled out for a clear run passing the 400 metres, responded well inside final 200 metres to take command over 50 metres out. (Blood in trachea)

2THE RUNNER  M F Poon  (V)

Lacked early pace and drifted over 2L back in 5th 3-wide into back straight, made swift headway past 900 metres to join the leaders, disputed lead 2-wide rounding home bend, unable to quicken under pressure in straight.

3SEIZING THE MOMENT  J Moreira

Dropped steadily to worse than midfield on the rail, dropped slightly further back when pace quickened past the 800 metres, commenced move under pressure approaching home straight, nearest at finish.

4BRILLIANT FORTUNE  L Ferraris  (H/TT1)

Ridden to lead, quickened up the pace to maintain narrow advantage when challenged from the 700 metres, went over 1L clear early in straight and flattered, swamped inside final 50 metres.

5MERCURIAL  V Borges  (H/TT)

Broke well but soon taken 2L back on the rail, left flat-footed in the quick pace around the bend, saved ground turning in, kept on without quickening in the run to the line.

6HIGH RISE SOLDIER  C Y Ho  (PC)

Ridden along before settling 2L back, drifted slightly further back to 3L 5th when pace quickened past the 700 metres, renewed effort 4-wide into home straight, one-paced when hampered 170 metres out.

7FARSHAD  C Wong

Crowded at start dropping to last few, saved ground on the inside turning for home, ran home one-paced.

8EXCELLENT CHARIOT  K Teetan  (B/TT)

Began fairly from a wide gate, travelling keenly when steadied past the 900 metres, went the widest turning into home straight, ran home one-paced down the centre of the track.

9GINSON  H Bentley  (B/TT)

Pressed forward from a wide gate before settling one back into back straight, faded steadily under pressure inside final 400 metres.

10GRACYLOVE  H T Mo

Soon dropped well behind despite niggling along, saved ground turning for home, made no impression on the rail.

11EQUILIBRIUM TURBO  A Badel  (H/CP1)

Blew the start losing considerable ground, never a factor.
