Began well, taken one back on the rail behind slow pace travelling keenly at times, shifted one out at the 600m and eventually obtained a run inside the 300m, gained upper hand final strides.

2CHARITY FUN  A Badel  (TT)

Midfield early stages, made steady headway around horses from the 1300m, shared the lead in a sound pace rounding home bend, hit the front momentarily 150m out only to caught near the line.

3RELIABLE TEAM  K C Leung  (V)

Took up running passing the winning post the first time, set sedate pace with a 1L advantage to the half-way mark, improved pace when joined coming out of the back straight, came under pressure but outlasted inside the final 100m.

4PACKING WALTHAM  M Chadwick  (B/TT)

Gradually settled some 4L back in 5th in the slow pace, commenced move from the 800m to track behind race leader turning in, did not find much room in most of the straight but fought on dourly in the run to the line.

5PANFIELD  J Moreira  (TT)

Broke well, taken back to 4th within 3L of the slow pace, became 5th in a similar position passing the 1200m and 6th 900m out, failed to quicken in straight to feature in the placings.

6SAVAQUIN  V Borges

Quickly settled behind midfield from a wide gate, in 9th about 4L off the pace rounding home bend, switched 4-wide for a run 600m out and wider into home straight, fought on steadily without threatening.

7RUSSIAN EMPEROR  K Teetan  (B/XB)

Wide early before pulling his way forward to be 1L 2nd onto back straight while travelling keenly in the slow pace, switched 3-wide from 3rd for a clear run 800m out holding some chance after straightening until the 200m.

8COLUMBUS COUNTY  Z Purton  (TT)

Taken back to last few for cover 3-wide, moved closer from the 1200m to reach 8th in midfield coming onto home bend, inconvenienced for a stride inside the 500m, kept on at steadily without quickening in straight.

9DELIGHTFUL LAOS  M L Yeung  (B/TT)

Settled well behind saving ground on the rail, switched out for a run after straightening, inconvenienced briefly 200m out, fought on steadily without threatening.

10HELENE LEADINGSTAR  H Bentley  (XB/TT)

Settled in rear of midfield on the rail mainly in 7th, slightly further back in 10th when pace increased passing the 1200m, renewed effort rounding home bend and saved ground turning in, fought on without threatening.

11HO HO KHAN  C Y Ho  (B/TT1)

Travelled 3-wide just worse than midfield, made headway from the 1200m to reach 5th some 2L back coming onto home bend, swung wider into home straight and weakened.

12CHEFANO  B Shinn  (CP)

Always struggling at the back, given reminders over 600m out, found nothing.
