Began well, settled just off the pace 2-wide, commenced move approaching the final turn and hit the front just inside the 300 metres, held on under pressure.

2SIGHT HERO  C Schofield  (CP)

Settled some 3L back in 4th 2-wide, came under pressure rounding home bend and given reminders over 400 metres out, ran on under pressure to be nearest at finish.

3HAPPILY FRIENDS  V Borges  (H)

Began awkwardly, settled just better than midfield some 4L back in 5th, saved ground on the inside turning in, fought on steadily without threatening.

4GOOD BUDDY  A Badel

Settled in last few, finished off the race well inside final 150 metres, ran out of room final strides.

5CHIKORITA  A Hamelin  (XB)

Travelled in rear of midfield on the rail and close to heels at times in back straight, saved ground turning for home, fought on steadily under pressure without threatening.

6ARES  M F Poon

Broke well from the one draw, gradually settled some 2L back in 3rd, became slightly further back but still in 3rd when pace quickened around home bend, kept on same pace without quickening under pressure in the run to the line.

7STAR OF WUYI  J Moreira  (B)

Settled wide towards the rear from a wide gate, commenced move out wide rounding home bend, widest of all turning for home, made up good ground near the stands side of the straight.

8XPONENTIAL  B Shinn  (CP/SR2)

Niggled along wide in first few, gradually settled 3-wide without cover in midfield travelling down back straight, commenced move from over 500 metres out and went wider into home straight, fought on steadily without threatening.

9JOLLY GOOD HEART  K Teetan

Pressed forward from a wide gate to lead turning into back straight, obtained rails run shortly after, headed by eventual winner passing the 300 metres and soon weakened.

10EVER JOY  Z Purton  (XB1)

Travelled greenly in midfield in 7th, in similar position turning for home, made no impression in the run to the line.
11SILVERY WARRIOR  H Bentley  (H/B1/TT)

Began moderately from the widest gate and inconvenienced shortly afterward, always struggling at the tail-end.

12DESTINE JEWELLERY  H N Wong  (B)

Crowded at start and soon dropped to last few despite niggling along, saved ground on the inside turning for home, gradually faded under pressure inside final 150 metres.
