Ridden forward to soon join the leader, settled about 1L back most of the way to home straight, hit the front just inside the 300 metres and soon drew clear under pressure.

Ridden along after a moderate start, settled just worse than midfield on the rail and saved ground turning for home, fought on steadily to reach 2nd about 70 metres out.

Settled just off over 2L off the speed 2-wide, held up behind runners around home bend, kept on same pace without quickening under pressure in straight.

4MR LUMIERES  M L Yeung  (V)

Unbalanced and crowded early settling well behind, commenced move rounding home bend switching wide into straight, finished off the race well down the centre of the track.

5CALIFORNIA CONCORD  C L Chau  (B/TT)

Began well from the one draw, drifted backward steadily to forward of midfield in 6th on the rail, renewed pressure rounding home bend, fought on steadily without threatening.

6MOST WELCOME  V Borges  (CP)

Went forward to settle 3-wide in midfield, went wider turning in, inconvenienced upon straightening, fought on well to the line.

7ISLAND SHINE  K C Leung  (B/TT)

Travelled well behind from a wide gate, ran into heels and lost ground 850 metres out, went the widest turning for home, finished off the race well near stands side, did best work late.

Ridden to lead after a moderate start, obtained rails run over 900 metres out, led the field until headed shortly after straightening, soon weakened.

Soon dropped to rear of midfield despite niggling along, badly checked inside the 200 metres and never recovered.

Travelled wide without cover in midfield after beginning from a wide gate, made short-lived effort circling the field on home bend, unable to sustain effort inside final 150 metres.

11YOUNG LEGEND  A Badel  (H/TT)

Ridden early from the widest gate, settled 4-wide in last few, came under pressure rounding home bend and very wide into straight, made no impression.

12CASIMIRO  T Piccone

Broke well travelling within 2L of pace 3-wide without cover, in similar position rounding home bend, dropped out tamely after straightening.
