Raced in midfield away from rail throughout. Eased 3 wide to improve near the 500m mark, entered last section under 3L from lead, dashed strongly to lead at the 200m before drawing away for very easy win.

2MASTER HERO  K Teetan  (XB/TT)

Raced worse than midfield early before improving position in middle stages when left 3 deep without cover. Entered last section 4L behind before closing strongly to snare second in late stages. Ran well, no match for winner.

3UNICORNBABY  C L Chau  (B/TT)

Raced outside the leader early before getting good position 1,1 near the 850m. Moved up to share lead fleetingly approaching the 200m before passed by winner. Held third after being caught for second in final few strides.

4APEX TOP  M Chadwick  (B)

Enjoyed good run in midfield away from the rail throughout. Eased 3 wide approaching corner, dashed up to share lead momentarily approaching the 200m before battling away to just miss a placing. Not far from second.

5EVERYONE'S DELIGHT  A Badel  (V/TT1)

Steadied after the start & shifted back from wide barrier to race second last. Continued a long way back on cornering, 6.5L from the lead entering last section before making steady late ground to midfield. (Rider questioned).

6MUDITA  N Callan

Shifted behind runners after the start. Raced third from last throughout middle stages. Eased wider on straightening, over 5L from the lead entering last section before making some late ground to midfield from the back.

7ON EXCEL STAR  A Hamelin  (XB1)

Drifted back after the start to race just worse than midfield between runners. Entered last section 5L from the lead before battling away to midfield without threatening.

8RUBY STARS  H W Lai  (B/TT)

Enjoyed soft run on leaders back throughout. Offered little in the straight before weakening out in the final 250m.

9FORMULA EXCEL  C Y Ho

Raced in midfield & shifted down to the rail near the 1000m mark. Raced tight & awkwardly placed when shifting off rail on cornering, entered last section under 3L from the lead before peaking mid-straight & weakening.

Slow to begin & consequently raced a clear last throughout. Continued at tail on straightening, 6.5L from the lead before passing a few tiring runners but never featuring. (Mucus in trachea, must trial).

11STRONG ALLIANCE  C Schofield

Began only fairly before mustering & improving slightly to midfield along rail. Entered last section just over 4L from the lead before weakening in dash to line.

12SMILING FACE  M L Yeung  (B/XB)

Crowded on jumping, shifted behind runners before improving slightly along the rail to race worse than midfield. Stayed along rail in straight, made some ground near the 300m before peaking & weakening sharply last furlong.

13LUCKY MARYKNOLL  R Maia  (B/TT)

Showed early speed to come across from outside barrier to lead. Continued in lead until being headed at the 250m mark & weakening sharply in last furlong.

Pushed forward, raced wide early before improving to race outside leader from the 900m. Peaked on effort before the 300m mark & weakened poorly to long last.
