Obtained position in midfield away from the rail throughout early & middle stages. Improved quickly between runners approaching the 400m before closing strongly to strike lead inside final 50m to win narrowly.

Raced in midfield on rail for the majority. Continued 3L from lead approaching corner, shifted inwards to get clear running at 200m, squeezed between runners to assume lead near 50m before caught in final strides.

Raced on leaders back for the majority. Moved away from the rail on cornering, moved up to share lead near the 100m before passed in late stages. Beaten under a length.

Missed the start & consequently raced near the rear. Continued rearward, 6L behind approaching the corner before closing off very strongly in closing stages to be beaten just over a length.

Crowded at the start & consequently raced just worse than midfield on the rail. Stayed close to the rail on cornering when around 4L behind before making good late ground to be beaten only 2L.

Raced in midfield early before drifting back after the first bend to race worse than midfield away from the rail in middle stages. Moved wider on cornering before closing off evenly in late stages to midfield. Not beaten far.

Showed early speed to lead before being headed near the 1000m, moved away from rail soon after when racing second. Moved up to share lead near the 125m before emptying out late. Not beaten far. (Rider question-see report).

Shifted behind runners after the start & raced third last away from rail. Continued second last over 6L behind on cornering before making up late ground when running on to midfield finish from rearward position.
