Quickly settled in midfield from the widest gate, circled the field under pressure rounding home bend and went widest into straight, sustained effort to assert authority 200 metres out, won confidently.

2SUNNY STAR  M F Poon

Settled in forward of midfield in 6th 3L off the pace, commenced move rounding home bend, ran on under pressure but found winner too good.

3NABOO STAR  C Soumillon  (V/TT)

Settled towards the rear in 10th, commenced move on home bend and went wide into straight, ran on down the centre of the track but without threatening.

4CHARITY FUN  K Teetan  (TT1)

Settled well behind, came under pressure making home turn, finished off the race strongly inside final 200 metres, did best work late.
5XIANG BAI QI  C Schofield  (B)

Settled in 9th towards the rear on the rail from a wide gate, kept on steadily in home straight without threatening.

Settled not far off in 6th on the rail early, carried backward on stables bend to midfield in 7th some 3L off the pace, baulked and switched for a run 200 metres out, kept on at the one pace.

Pressed forward from a wide gate to cross for the rails in front 1200 metres out, ceded advantage to settle just inside the leader turning into back straight, weakened inside final 200 metres.

Began well, close up in 3rd when travelling keenly round stables bend, became 4th in similar one-out-one-back position turning into back straight, came to challenge after home turn but soon found no extra.

Settled well behind from a wide gate, trailed the field from 800 metres out, ran on past well-beaten horses in closing stages.

10BEAUTY SPIRIT  N Callan  (CP/TT)

Inconvenienced at start, soon recovered to join the leaders 3-wide round first bend, came to take up running 2-wide passing the 1200 metres, led the field until finding no extra inside final 200 metres.
11CHEERFUL LEADER  K C Leung  (CP/XB)

Jumped awkwardly, soon picked up to wide in first few, pulled his way forward 3-wide to reach 3rd without cover into back straight, remained similar to home turn, dropped out under pressure.

12HEAVENLY THOUGHT  C L Chau  (B)

Began well from the one draw settling one back, hampered and carried 2-back to 5th rounding shortly after on stables bend, remained similar into home straight where badly baulked and not fully tested throughout.
