Raced in midfield between runners throughout early & middle stages. Eased wider on cornering, entered last section only 2L from lead, dashed up to take lead approaching the 200m before continuing on late to hold challenger.

2BLAZING PARTNERS  C L Chau  (B)

Mustered speed to race just behind the leading trio on rail. Held up near 400m when less than 2L from lead, shifted out at 225m when improving to second before closing late to be narrowly beaten. (Rider suspended).

3ONE STEP AHEAD  M Chadwick  (B/TT)

Shifted across behind runners to race at the tail. Awkwardly placed behind heels near 500m when third last on rail. Made steady headway early in straight before shifting wider near the 250m & closing strongly in late stages.
4YES WE CAN  A Hamelin  (TT)

Shifted behind runners after start & raced third last away from rail. Continued near the back, 5.5L from lead entering last section, moved the second widest before making steady late ground to snare forth in late stages.
5LUCKY GUY  N Callan  (TT)

Raced in midfield on rail in early & middle stages. Moved away from rail on cornering when 3L from lead, shifted out to get clear running near the 300m before finishing off steadily thereafter.
6TREASURE CHEST  C Wong  (B/XB)

Pushed forward from wide gate but left racing wide & without cover in midfield from the 800m. Continued wide on bend, entered last section around 2L from lead before peaking on effort near 250m & weakening a few lengths late.
7VITAL SPRING  C Y Ho  (CP/TT)

Drifted back after start & shifted across to race at the tail. Continued a clear last on cornering, over 6L from lead entering last section before making up a few lengths when running on to midfield finish from last.
8GALAXY RACER  C Schofield  (V/TT)

Raced just worse than midfield away from rail in early & middle stages. Moved into clear running when 4L from lead on cornering, before making no real headway in straight. (Not comfortable in action-rider).
9HEALTHY TREASURE  K C Leung  (B)

Began awkwardly before settling worse than midfield on rail. Moved away from inside on cornering, entered last section just under 5L from lead but failed to make any noteworthy ground in straight.
10MASTER GALAXY  Z Purton

Showed early speed to share lead but was held away from rail by inside runner. Continued to hold slender lead on cornering before emptying out approaching 200m & weakened sharply thereafter. (Blood in trachea post-race).

Strode forward from wide gate, raced three wide outside leader before steadying & racing third with cover from the 800m. Only 1L from lead entering last section before emptying at 250m & weakening sharply in final furlong.

Raced in midfield, three wide with cover throughout. Hung outwards & lost ground around the bend consequently relegated back to last entering last section. Weakened further in straight to be beaten over 10L.

13GOLDEN MISSION  A Badel  (TT)

Raced in midfield between runners in early & middle stages. Continued between runners only 2L from lead on straightening before being badly crowded & losing ground near the 200m & played no part thereafter. Had excuse.
14LAOS ENLIGHTENMENT  V Borges  (B/TT)

Mustered speed after start & held leader away from the inside when racing second along rail. Improved to share lead on cornering before emptying out at the 400m & weakening very poorly in straight to be a long last.
