Began well from the one draw, settled in midfield in 5th, crowded before switched out for a run after straightening, fought on dourly to just get up on line.

Settled well behind after a moderate start, trailed the field to home straight, ran on well to be nearest at finish.

Travelled wide without cover throughout, taken back early before making steady progress to rear of midfield in 6th approaching home bend, quickened to gain narrow lead over 200 metres out, caught close to home. (Tactic questioned

Settled in last few, 3-wide rounding home bend, ran on under pressure to hold some chance 200 metres out, but unable to sustain effort closing stages.

5ALPHA HEDGE  N Callan  (CP)

Began well, settled in forward of midfield in 4th for cover, commenced move into home straight, held every chance until finding no extra inside the final 100 metres, hampered late.

6EVER LAUGH  Z Purton  (B/TT)

Broke well from a wide gate, travelled wide about 3L back in joint 2nd in back straight, commenced move rounding home bend and shared pace briefly into home straight, unable to sustain effort inside the final 300 metres.

7TUNG WAH GLORY  K Teetan  (P)

Settled on the rail in joint 2nd over 3L off the pace, gained within 1L of the leader when pace slackened on home bend, unable to quicken under pressure in the straight. (Questioned for disappointing performance)
