Ridden across from outside barrier to race midfield away from rail. Moved three wide passing 500m, improved quickly nearing corner. Sprinted fast on straightening, dashed to lead at 200m before holding late challengers.

Began well, crossed after first bend & drifted to midfield on rail. Stayed close to the inside rail on straightening before making strong late ground to charge to fast finishing second late.
|3||WOOD ON FIRE M Chadwick (V-/H/B1)|
Ridden along to hold worse than midfield position away from rail. Moved three wide with cover near the 700m & wider passing the 500m. Straightened the widest runner before finishing strongly for close up third.
|4||DESTINE JEWELLERY C Y Ho (V)|
Raced in midfield away from rail with cover. Shuffled back a few positions on cornering before finishing off well in last 250m to be close behind.
|5||MILLENNIUM FALCON K Teetan (H1/XB1)|
Badly crowded at start & consequently raced at the tail. Moved wider nearing bend, effectively last horse into the straight before finishing strongly in last furlong to be just behind. Good debut.

Badly crowded & lost ground at start before racing at the tail. Ridden hard to improve into race from the 550m before finishing off steadily from the rear to not be far behind despite being steadied near line.
|7||MOMENTUM GALAXY K C Leung (H/P)|
Steadied & allowed to race in midfield on rail. Drifted further back passing the 500m, held up on cornering, no clear running at the 200m & not tested in dash to line. Not beaten far. (Rider questioned – see report).

Ridden forward before improving to take the lead at first bend, crossed to rail by the 900m. Continued to hold the lead until being joined by the winner at the 200m before yielding a few lengths late in the race.
|9||ONE STEP AHEAD T H So (TT)|
Not fast to begin & drifted back to race third last. Steadied from heals near the 400m & consequently shared last position on straightening. Stayed close to the inside but could only pass a few tiring runners late. Well held.
|10||BULLISH BROTHER N Callan (B/TT)|
Strode forward, held lead momentarily before racing on leaders back from the 900m. Just over a length from the lead on straightening before peaking soon after & weakening out to beat only two home.
|11||COMPASSION STAR C Wong|
Ridden along after the start before racing in midfield, 3 wide without cover throughout. Improved position in second section to corner just over 1 length form the lead before weakening out from the 250m after wide passage.
|12||FIRE BALL C Schofield (TT1)|
Not fast away, improved after first bend before striding to second place near the 800m. Only a length form the lead on cornering before peaking on effort soon after straightening & weakening out sharply from the 300m. Last.
