Led along the 2-path, lost lead entering straight but refused to give in, fought on gamely to line, no match with first 2 final stages. (Jockey questioned re his riding position.)

Held up midfield on inner, saved ground, moved up to challenge leader 300M, outsprinted by rivals closing stages.
