Away quickly, not pushed, settling one-out 3L from leader. Turned behind horses, switched out 280m to get clear running, finished strongly to fail narrowly.

Jumped well, pressed forward to race outside hind quarters of leader. Lost position approaching home turn but found second wind in straight and finished off strongly.

First from the gates, taken to rail and set steady pace to home turn. Put under pressure nearing 600m, kicked clear on straightening but caught 150m and passed by two others close home.

Lifted front feet at start, losing ground, taken to rail and made progress to midfield. Kept improving position around home turn and ran on steadily in straight to finish just behind place-getters.
