Not used early, settling worse than midfield, 1 off the fence. Came wider at the top of the straight for a run. Progressed quickly from the 200m, despite shifting in, and went to the line under no urging and with plenty in hand.
2BEAUTY ONLY  Z Purton  (H/TT)

Dropped back to sit last, 3-4 wide early, before moving to the fence at 900m. Not vigorously ridden in the straight, and finished off last 150m strongly despite only being pushed hands and heels.
3BEAUTY FLAME  M Chadwick  (TT)

Pushed out early to share the lead into an early speed dual, before dropping back to sit 1 off, 1 back. Peaking late, and just held onto 3rd from a fast finishing field.
4ROMANTIC TOUCH  C Y Ho  (TT)

Settled around midfield, 3-4 wide with limited cover. Looked gone at 150m, but showed good pace late to figure in a tight finish and just missed a place.
5CONTENTMENT  B Prebble  (P)

Taken forward early to settle 3rd. Over raced through the middle stages, and came 3 wide off heels at 700m. Ran solidly in the straight, just missing a place in a blanket finish.
6HORSE OF FORTUNE  K K Chiong

Taken forward early to be handily placed in 4th, but 3 wide with no cover. Forced into a 4 wide position at the 700m. Ran well in the straight, and hampered at 200m. Peaked in the last 20m.
7DASHING FELLOW  K C Leung  (B)

Challenged for the lead early, before claiming it outright at the 1000m. Used up all his bullets by the 400m, and gradually faded out of contention.
8SECRET WEAPON  D Whyte  (B/TT)

Eased forward early, sitting just forward of the last pair. Plugged away fairly in the straight. Slightly off heels at 100, but never likely to make an impression.

Dropped back early to sit towards the rear of the field, 3 wide with cover. 1 paced to the line and never progressed.

Taken up early to sit forward of midfield, on the fence. Well positioned in the straight, but never ran on.

Began well before dropping back to sit in the last pair, 3 wide with limited cover. Plugged away and never a threat.

Cruised forward early, settling around midfield, 1 off the fence. Raced keen midrace, and awkward on heels at 900m. Had nothing left in the straight, and eased out late.
