Ridden from a wide gate to vie for lead, gained narrow advantage after the first 400 metres before obtaining rails run over 800 metres while setting a steady pace, kicked over 3L clear under pressure 200 metres out, eased late.

Jumped awkwardly, settled towards the rear 3-wide, in similar position turning in, finished off race well under pressure to claim 2nd final strides.
