Comments

1GOLDEN SLEEP  K Teetan  (TT)

Led steadily first half, pressed by a rival 800M and went quick in 3rd quarter, kept on well in the lead entering straight, sustained effort final 200M to hold off rivals. (Blood in trachea)

2HEROIC GURU  B Prebble  (CP)

Settled down behind midfield 5Ls off, travelled nicely to straight, steady headway from 250M, hard pressed late stages to challenge winner, just denied.

3SUPEROI  K K Chiong  (V1)

Began only fairly, caught wide no cover early stages, allowed to stride forward 1100M,vied for lead 700M, had every chance entering straight, always held by winner, lost 2nd last stride.

4PRESIDENTPARAMOUNT  N Rawiller  (B)

Raced keenly early stages, restrained to race ahead of midfield, closed off well down outside final 200M, late impression on first 3.

5RED MARVEL  J Moreira  (H/TT)

Held up 2-wide in mid-division, lacked a strong turn of foot final 300m, kept on moderately for non-threatening 5th.

6CHATER LEGEND  G Lerena  (SR/TT)

Reserved in midfield 3-4Ls behind leaders, moved into contention 350M, fought on steadily to line, out-finished by a few late stages.

7LOOKS LIKE THE CAT  O Doleuze  (B-/H/XB/P2/TT)

Chased leaders, held 3rd position turning in, turned one pace 150M and faded towards the line.

8HAPPY SPIRIT  K C Ng  (H/TT)

Began very awkwardly, failed to muster speed and raced back in the field 8Ls off the pace, made some progress final 250M, steadied 50M from home.

9EXPEDITE  C Y Ho  (B/H/XB)

Not hurried, eased back to near the rear 7Ls off the pace, ran on fairly down inside on straightening, well held by leaders.

10REGENCY KING  Y T Cheng  (H/TT)

Dropped back to near the rear 8Ls behind leaders, kept on same pace in straight, never threatened.

11THE RAINBOW  T H So

Held up in midfield, wide no cover from 800M, couldn't pick up entering straight.

12HIGH VOLATILITY  C K Tong

More prominent than usual, tracked pace to 800M, came under pressure nearing home turn, gave way gradually.
