Happy to ease forward early and be handily placed 5th on the rail, with the fast early pace. Pushed forward from the 350, and tackled the leader under hands and heels at 150m. Kicked clear and easing late.
2WINNING LEADER  H N Wong  (B)

Pulled to the front early, eventually leading by 4L, and setting a cracking pace up front. Eventually headed by the 150m, and fading quickly, but had just enough in the tank to hold onto 2nd late.
3UP AND COMING  M L Yeung  (B/TT)

Pressed forward early from the wide draw, but dropped back after being stuck wide with fast early speed to sit midfield, 1 off the fence. Still had plenty to make up at the 200m, but switched on from there and went home well.
4GONNA RUN  C Y Ho  (TT)

Dropped back from the wide draw to sit 2nd last by the 1200m, 14L off the leader. Patiently ridden in the straight, finding a run at 200m. Finished off well, and only just missed a place.
5RACING HERO  C K Tong  (B/TT)

Began well and taken up early before easing to sit midfield, 3 wide with cover. Plugged away early in the straight, and lay in around 150m and had to straighten. Ran on OK after that.
6ANTICIPATION  M Chadwick  (B/TT)

Dropped back from the wide draw to sit last by the 1200m, 15L off the leader. Ran solidly in the straight as the field compacted back to. Held up on heels through 200m, losing some momentum, and OK to the line when clear late.
7RENAISSANCE ART  K Teetan  (P1/H2)

Dropped back around the field early before pushing up to sit just behind midfield, on the fence. Went looking for a run at top of the straight, and OK initially, before running flay from 150m.
8AMAZING AGILITY  C Schofield  (SR/TT)

Hampered on jumping and eased forward early, eventually sitting worse than midfield and 1 off the fence. Came widest in the straight, but only used sparingly in the run home.
9DYNAMISM  G Lerena  (H/SR)

OK away before dropping straight to the rail to find a position midfield, on the fence with cover. Looked to be travelling well rounding the turn, but never responded to riding in the straight and petered out in the run home.
10MCQUEEN  K K Chiong  (XB)

Taken up to sit clear 3rd 5L off the leader, mostly 2-3 wide with no cover and trying to chase the fast early pace. Shifted out on the home turn and came wider, before dropping out in the straight. Quick race tempo didn't suit.
11HAPPILABABY  Z Purton  (B/TT)

Cruised out early and allowed to settle at the rear of the field, on the fence. Never travelled at all, and gave nothing in the straight. Eased up from the 100m.
12SUPREME PROFIT  K C Leung  (B/TT)

Went to push forward early, but foiled by the early pace and dropped back, eventually finding a spot 4th/5th, 3 wide with no cover. Trapped on heels at 350m, but was already on the wane and never ran on in the straight.
13SERGEANT TITANIUM  B Prebble

Eased forward early to sit towards the rear of the field, 2-3 wide with cover. Came wider on the turn, before being checked at 350m. Not pushed out from that point and eased out late. Vet reported lameness.
14BERLINI  T H So  (H)

Began well, and taken forward early, before electing not to take on leader and dropping back to be 2nd, 4L off the leader. Fading before the turn, and never responded in the straight. Eased up from 200m.
