Pressed forward inside early leader before taking over 1400m and slowing field. Increased tempo entering final turn, kicked ahead 350m, challenged strongly 100m, just held.

2GO-GETTER  R Moore  (E/P)

Ridden early before crossing to fence, settling towards rear. Allowed to settle, swung wide into straight, ran on strongly to just miss.

3FIRST SIGHT LOVE  K Tosaki

Began OK, outpaced, settling at rear. Trailed field to straight, switched out and finished strongly.

4SUGAR CITY  J McDonald  (XB)

Jumped with field, not pushed, settling between horses four-back from leader. Taken wide in straight and ran on steadily doing best work final 100m.

5ENDORSING  J Moreira  (CP-/XB2/TT2)

A little slow into stride, then taken to fence four-back from leader. Got clear rails run in straight, ran on well to 100m before turning one-paced.

6HAPPY MOMENTS  G Lerena  (PC-/B2/TT)

Ridden to maintain forward position but held three-wide without cover. Taken wider on straightening, kept on fairly to 150m then one-paced.

7VARA PEARL  H Bowman  (SR)

Shifted out and bumped start, pressed forward, settling one-off, three-back. Badly held for run till 200m, boxed on.

8BUSINESS AS USUAL  D Whyte  (H)

Urged forward from wide draw before edging closer to fence one-back, one-off. Boxed on well early straight before turning one-paced.

9ONE OF A KIND  B Prebble  (TT)

Ridden early, holding rail position three-back from leader. Took closer order around turn but only one-paced in straight.

Quickly into stride, grabbed box seat, then allowed to relax. Shaken up top of straight but found nothing and faded.

11WINNING MASCOT  V Espinoza

No early pace but still kept towards rear. Taken even wider around turn and a beaten horse soon after straightening.

12HURRICANE KID  M Guyon  (B/H)

Hard ridden to lead soon after jump before easing back a half length outside leader entering first turn. Stayed in contention to straight before tiring.
