Settled down behind midfield, in 8th place 6Ls off the pace middle stages, picked up well when clear 300M, dueled with 2nd mid-straight and responded determinedly through final stages to prevail.
2HIGH AND MIGHTY  B Prebble  (H/XB)

Held up midfield in 6th place, loomed behind leaders 250M, dueled inside the winner final 150M, battled on strongly, just denied. (Lost left front plate early stages)
3SICHUAN VIGOUR  T H So  (E/P2)

Began well from inside draw, tracked leaders along the fence and had the run of the race, squeezed through to challenge on inside passing 300M, briefly led 200M but not matched finishing pace of first 2 late stages.

Switched off to last, over 10Ls off the pace at one stage, patiently handled, closed off well when driven 350M, got up for 4th near line.

With leaders early, sat 2-wide in the group chasing the pace, moved up to challenge 400M, led briefly 250M but couldn't sustain run, flattened final 150M.

Lacked early pace, settled near last 8Ls behind leader, kept to inside throughout, closed off evenly from 350M, difficult obtained run near 100M but never looked like getting to leaders.

Eased back, settled at the rear 8-9Ls off the pace, urged along 600M but made limited progress in the straight only, not reached leaders.

Niggled along early to hold his spot in midfield, 5Ls off the pace turning home, didn't pick up sufficiently in straight, never a serious threat.
