Had uncontested lead, took them along slowly middle stages, quickened up again 400M, opened up 2Ls lead mid-straight, dug deep late on to hold off fast finishing 2nd.

Began only fairly, settled down midfield 4Ls off leader, into clear 300M and closed off well, just one stride short of catching the winner.

Began well from draw 1, eased back to a position behind midfield 5Ls off the pace, made stealthy progress up the fence final 300M, got up for 3rd last stride but no impression on first two.
4GO GO WIN  R Fourie  (CP)

Chased leader in 3rd, kept on steadily in straight but not pace to challenge leaders, edged out to 4th final stride.
5GOOD CHOICE  N Rawiller  (XB)

Held up 7-6Ls towards the rear, did best work final 200M, stayed on for non-threatening 5th.

From wide barrier slotted into 2-wide spot in 4th before the first turn, still within striking range 400M but kept on at the same pace under pressure.
