Had the inside draw, but happy to let others push forward and lead. Smoked the pipe in a handy position until he hit go on the turn. Pulled away, and had too much in the tank late.
2EROICO  J Moreira

Began well, but not used up and sat just forward of mid field. Inside winner when he took off just before turn, and went soon after. Chased hard, and was very slowly gaining late but the post came too soon.
3FULL TALENT  D Whyte  (SR/TT)

Nicely away, eventually settling mid field. Had the mouth open and looked to be full of horse mid race. Hit go 350m out, but didn't have a huge kick. Battled on late to hold 3rd.
4LET ME GO  D Lane  (H/XB)

Began fairly, and sat just worse than mid field early. Raced keen in the middle stages, coming off heels and raced without cover. Came widest on the turn, and a reasonable strong run right to the line.
5PRECISION KING  K C Ng  (P)

Pushed out hard early to share part of the lead. Led into home turn, but looked one paced from there, dropping back to 5th.
6CALIFORNIA BOUNTY  Y T Cheng  (TT)

Kicked well, and part of an early speed dual in the back straight. Dropped back to be just off on first turn. Looked a tired horse late, and ran on only fairly in the straight.
7DEEP THINKER  N Callan  (CP)

Allowed to drift back from the wide barrier to sit at the back of the field. Battled away in home straight, without worrying for a place.
8MY NAME IS BOND  A Suborics

Not the best away, and angled in to sit worse than mid field. Keen up the back straight, and awkwardly placed at the 750m. Race was run by the turn, and only plugged away fairly late.
9FIGHT HERO  C K Tong

Began well, and eased in to sit in a handy/mid position one off the rail. Showed nothing when asked in the straight and drifted back.
10SPEEDYGONZALEZ  N Rawiller  (B/H/TT)

Sat near tail of the field from the jump and never looked settled. Came three wide off heels 700m. Didn't let down late, and well beaten.
11FORMULA WON  C Y Ho  (B1/TT)

Eased out to sit with the back markers early. Last on turn and only got going last 200m, but race was well and truly gone.
12ANDOYAS  T H So  (H)

Pushed up early to sit mid field. Under pressure before the turn, and never finished off.
13APACHE SPIRIT  K C Leung  (H/XB/SR1)

Allowed to drift back from the wide draw to sit last on the rails. Gave nothing late, and dropped out to finish last.
