1ABLE FRIEND  J Moreira  (CP)

Held up towards the rear, patiently ridden in a slowly run race, picked up pace 350M, cantered past rivals under gentle handling, led 100M and cruised to an emphatic victory.

2BEAUTY FLAME  G Mosse  (TT)

Soon led, enjoyed a soft lead and set a slow pace first half of the race, quickened up tempo 600M out, still going well into final 200M but failed to hold off the mighty ABLE FRIEND nearing 100M. hung on for 2nd.

3REWARDING HERO  N Rawiller  (H/XB)

Settled in midfield about 3Ls off the pace, shifted out 300M for clear run, stayed on well enough for 3rd but had no chance with the impressive winner.

4BLAZING SPEED  N Callan  (TT)

Always in touch, 4th making the turn for home, driven along 500M out, briefly threatened but turned one pace over final 200M.

5AMBITIOUS DRAGON  M Guyon  (B)

Reserved near the rear, saved ground along the rails, stayed on moderately over final 400M, lay in under pressure and awkwardly placed final stages.

6GOLD-FUN  D Whyte  (V)

Tracked the pace along the fence, kept up the chase on leader until weakening final 100M. (sustained cut to right hind leg and found to be lame next day.)

7REAL SPECIALIST  K Teetan  (P)

Positioned one out one back, driven along 500M but lacked the needed response, grudgingly gave way passing 200M.

8GLORIOUS DAYS  M Demuro  (B)

Settled in mid-division, steadied 300M, failed to quicken thereafter.

9ALL YOU WISH  B Prebble  (TT)

Slow to begin, 7Ls back in the rear early stages, shaken up 500M but gave limited response only, never reached contention.
