Pressed on from a poor gate to contest lead, took up running over 1200 metres out before crossing to the rails shortly after, led until finding no extra inside final 100 metres.

Jumped fairly, settled in rear of midfield on rails, carried backward towards the rear coming out of far side, switched off rails for a run upon straightening, ran on well between runners closing stages.

Soon taken back from a wide gate, settled in last few, slightly closer in 10th round home bend, made steady progress in straight, nearest at finish.
