1VARIETY CLUB  A Marcus  (XB)

Began well, hard ridden to go forward, leading to 1150m before easing off to sit outside leader. Shaken up again 600m, rolled forward but wide to lead entering straight, pulled clear for effortless win.

2ABLE FRIEND  J Moreira  (CP)

Jumped well but caught wide and eased back through field to find cover, landing at the rear. Got caught in bumping match 1000m to 900m, switched out 600m,ran on strongly down centre field but unable match winner.

3DAN EXCEL  T Berry  (CP-/SR2/TT)

Pressed forward after jumping well but trapped four-wide without cover. Covered extra ground turn, looked chance top of straight, kept on steadily without looking dangerous.

4GLORIOUS DAYS  K Teetan  (B)

Began fairly, no early speed and allowed to settle between horses towards the rear. Got strung up in traffic around turn, but finished off nicely from 300m when clear.

5GOLD-FUN  D Whyte  (B)

Got off OK, rolled forward between horses to get within 3L of leader and switched off. Entered straight behind horses, switched in for clear running, kept on steadily.

6BLAZING SPEED  N Callan  (TT)

Began well, ridden along to hold rail, grabbing box seat back stretch. Came off fence 600m to challenge, looked chance entering straight but run ended 200m, one-paced.

7GORDON LORD BYRON  Z Purton  (XB)

Began well but snagged back and taken across behind runners to sit at rear. Got into bumping match with eventual runner-up 1000m to 900m, turned in behind horses but ran on steadily when clear from 350m.

8MSHAWISH  U Rispoli  (SR)

Jumped with field, ridden to hold forward position but forced to race 3-wide mostly. Rolled forward turning for home but effort was short-lived. One-paced.

9FLAME HERO  H Bowman

Began fairly, ridden along but wide back stretch. Bumped and unbalanced turn, kept on one-paced in straight.

10MEINER LACRIMA  D Shibata

Crowded out at start but recovered and mustered to settle one-back, one-off before turn. Got shuffled back entering straight and found little under hard riding.

11CALIFORNIA MEMORY  M Chadwick

Jumped with field but restrained, drifting back to clear last. Switched out from 600m, widest into straight, ran past beaten horses.

12REAL SPECIALIST  O Doleuze  (B)

Checked on jumping and made heavy contract with another. Rallied along rail to sit at midfield before turn. Stayed on fence and made ground to straight before turning one-paced.

13HELENE SPIRIT  A Suborics  (B1/TT)

Bumped and unbalanced start, recovered and mustered close to fence to take lead passing 1150m. Collard entering straight and faded gradually.

14ZAIDAN  B Prebble  (TT)

Began fairly, taken closer to rail before settling toward rear. Improved position around turn but tired soon after straightening and finished tailed off. Unacceptable performance.
