Comments

1CHARLES THE GREAT  D Whyte  (SR/TT)

Began OK, restrained and taken back but away from fence. Moved forward 3-wide from 500m widest into straight, picked up momentum from 200m and finished strongly for easy win.

2LUCKY NINE  B Prebble  (H/B2)

Began well, ridden forward to sit outside leader. Took over lead 350m, well clear 200m, flattened final 50m.

3BULLISH FRIEND  K Teetan  (TT)

Began awkwardly, ridden forward but unable find cover and held 3-wide. Covered extra ground turn, took time to wind up in straight, doing best work final 200m.

4FREDERICK ENGELS  J Moreira  (TT)

Missed the start, taken to fence, improved to 3-back from leader. Saved ground final turn, came off fence 250m, kept on steadily.

5EL ZONDA  Z Purton  (TT)

Began fairly, didn't really settle throwing head about. Got close to heels 900m, shuffled back entering straight, ran on steadily final 300m.

6BEST ELEVEN  A Suborics  (CP/TT)

Began OK, no early speed settling midfield but wide. Covered extra ground around turn, wide into straight, kept on steady without threatening.

7STRAIGHT GOLD  G Mosse  (H/XB)

Jumped well, no early space, settling between horse in midfield. Ran on steadily early straight turning one-paced from 200m.

8RICH TAPESTRY  O Doleuze  (B/TT)

Jumped straight to the front, set slow pace, put under pressure entering straight but caught 350m and weakened steadily. Substantial amount of blood in trachea.

9GO BABY GO  T Berry

Began best, not pushed, settling in box seat in slipstream of leader. Put under pressure on straightening but found little, tiring quickly after passing 200m.

0CERISE CHERRY  M Chadwick  (B/TT)

Began well, snagged back to last and taken to fence. Broke down around home turn and pulled up in straight.
