Jumped well, taken straight to front, set steady pace to course proper, kicked clear 350m, won comfortably, easing down final 50m.

2STRAIGHT GOLD  G Mosse  (H/XB)

Began fairly, ridden along towards rear, rolled forward from 600m, clear 2nd from 300m, kept on well without threatening winner.

3CERISE CHERRY  M Chadwick  (B/TT)

Shifted in and bumped start, dropping to last on settling. Stayed along outer fence, picked up momentum gradually before switching in 300m to get run. Kept on steadily.

4FREDERICK ENGELS  N Callan  (TT1)

Began fairly, quickly taken to outer fence, made ground from 700m to 400m, turning one-paced final 200m. Had substantial blood in trachea.

5BEST ELEVEN  N Pinna  (TT)

Began OK, outpaced and dropped to last pair. Switched in to centre track approaching 400m and finished off nicely.

6CHARLES THE GREAT  D Whyte  (SR/TT)

Began well, then got head up and lay in early stages behind pace. Settled better reaching course proper, turning one-paced.

7BEAR HERO  Z Purton  (TT)

Jumped well, taken forward to sit inside leading pair to 400m, under pressure from 300m, gave ground gradually.

8GO BABY GO  T Angland

Quickly into stride racing outide leader before shifting in from 700m. Under pressure to hold position from 600m, hard ridden from 500m but failed to respond, giving ground.

9VITAL FLYER  K C Leung  (B)

Bumped start, ridden along to race in midfield behind pace. Under pressure from 500m, shifted in off heels 200m, steadied 100m when disappointed for run. Faded.

10EAGLE REGIMENT  O Doleuze

Began only fairly, reluctant to stretch out initially, then picked up speed down centre track to get within range at 400m before running out of steam and slipping back.
