Taken back from wide draw and soon on rail at rear. Improved final turn, no run 400m-200m, got split and finished strongly.

Crowded start, taken forward but wide, took lead before 1300m and cut in to rail. Drifted out turning for home, kept on strongly, caught close to line.

Ridden up to hold rail before settling two-back around first turn. Kept on steadily back stretch, came off fence 400m, kept on well but drifted out under pressure.

4FORGIVE AND FORGET  B Prebble  (H)

Crowded and unbalanced shortly after start, then crowded again before first turn, dropping back. Taken wide entering straight and ran on strongly.

5TURBO JEWELLERY  D Whyte  (TT)

Ridden forward from good draw but trapped 3-wide first turn. Rolled forward back stretch to sit outside leader, 2nd into straight, one-pace final.

6JOLLY VICTOR  R Fourie  (B/TT)

Began awkwardly but settled behind midfield away from fence. Taken wide turning for more and kept on steadily to the line.

Jumped well and raced in 3rd before dropping back to 4th first turn. Left wide without cover back stretch turning one-paced from 600m despite hard riding.

Jumped well and soon on rail, holding out pacesetters before slipping into box seat back stretch. Looked chance turning for home, kept on steadily before flattened 200m.

9LUCKY FOREVER  K C Leung  (B/SR)

Began well, sitting behind leader after getting cover 1200m. Lost position final turn, under hard riding from 500m but little response.

10INDIGO WAY  H W Lai  (SW)

Taken forward from wide draw but trapped wide. Rolled forward from 1200m to seek cover, wide along back stretch, gave ground from 500m.

11KING OF PATCH  W M Lai  (B)

Taken back from wide draw but away from fence. Started to lose contact with main bunch from turn, finishing well back.

12NAVEL ORANGE  Y T Cheng  (B-)

Flopped out of gates and soon last. Raced 3-4 wide at tail of the field, took final turn greenly, never competitive.
