Comments

1SEA DIAMOND  W C Marwing  (H/XB/TT)

Posted 3 wide without cover 2-3ls back, steady speed made job easier, dashed strongly turning and eventually won battle over final 300m to take solid victory.

2WINNING LEADER  Z Purton  (H)

Pressed on from a wide gate to sit outside leader, enjoyed a nice run with steady sections, in duel with eventual winner length on straight and lost out final 50m.

3TOUR DE FORCE  D Whyte  (B)

Raced 3 wide with cover, 5ls back in mid field, steady tempo no ideally to suit, followed eventual winner through turning but couldn't match dash, stuck on well for a clear 3rd.

4MEGA CHAMPION  M Chadwick  (TT)

Allowed to settle in midfield 4ls or so back in running line, fair run to bend, closed off evenly to make frame without threatening first trio.

5ALPINEFIELD  T Angland

Settled in rear division 6ls or so away in running line, less than even tempo not ideal, made ground approaching turn, closed ok making steady progress in run to line.

6DRAGON FIGHTER  M L Yeung  (B/TT)

Unable to slot in and posted 3 and 4 wide throughout, worked hard with co cover 4ls back on bend, managed to hold ground evenly in straight which was creditable given workload.

7PRETTY ONE  A Suborics  (TT)

Took an ideal role on leaders back, aided by steady tempo and used little to bend, lacked an extra gear to factor in straight and dropped off final furlong.

8LORD SINCLAIR  B Prebble  (H-)

Assumed ideal role, 1 out 1 back, no excuses in run, in 3rd place turning, one paced when asked for effort and just battled away.

9KA YING KID  T Clark  (XB/TT)

Showed speed to work across and lead, set terms to suit in front, headed soon after turning in and just battled away at one speed in straight.

10NICE FOLKS  O Doleuze  (B)

Taken back from an outside alley, shared rear 7ls or so back racing 2 wide, pace against in mid-section, made some minor headway late from well back.

11STRATHTAY  C Y Ho  (SR)

Drifted back from an awkward draw, raced 7ls or so away sharing rear, pace not to suit early on, well back turning, only passed tired runner late.

12SUPREME FALCON  G Mosse  (H1)

Ended up just off midfield 5ls from top end, unsuited by tempo in middle stages, took inside runs turning, just stayed on at one pace in straight.

13SPLENDID VICTORY  R Fourie  (XB1)

Took a trail 3ls back on rails, enjoyed a quiet time in mid-section, struggling turning and gradually dropped off in straight.

14GREAT AND BEYOND  Y T Cheng

Raced 3 wide behind midfield, had cover 6-7l;s back, well back turning and never looked likely.
