Tracked the leaders on the fence early, then shifted out to travel 1 out 1 back after the 900m. hit the front near the furlong and drew clear in the run to the line.

Blundered badly at the start and lost considerable ground, settling third from the rear. Made the home turn deep, closed off strongly.
3M'S MAGIC  O Doleuze  (B/TT)

Eventually worked its way forward to settle in second position near the 900m, 2 deep, no cover. Was in front at the 200m, but wilted over the final stages. (returned with substantial amount of blood in the trachea)
4HUMONGUS  N Callan  (B/TT)

Travelled 3 back, 2 wide with cover. Made steady ground along the inside in the home straight, never threatened.
5MR MARFACH  K C Ng  (B)

Camped midfield the fence had cover. Worked home evenly towards the inside.

Travelled worse than midfield on the rails with cover. Made steady progress in the final stretch.

Sent forward and led on the fence. Faded over the final furlong.

Settled last, 2-3 deep with cover. Came wide in the home straight, kept whacking away in the run home.

Travelled with the backmakers on the rails with cover. Failed to close off. (Found to be lame in its left front leg the following morning).

Raced in fourth last position, 2 deep with cover. Just plugged away in the home straight without making any ground.

Settled about 3 back the paint with cover. Struggled over the final 200m. (An endoscopic examination after the race confirmed the horse to be a roarer).
14FORTUNE TERRITORY  T Angland  (B/TT)

Had every possible chance after box seating. Was a beaten horse early in the straight.
