Led all along the stand's rail. Never challenged. Superb debut.

Began awkwardly, resulting in its rider becoming unbalanced. Soon recovered to a forward spot down the centre of the track. Pushed passing 450M but no answer to winner's kick. Fought on gamely to hold 2nd.
3TENDER MELODY  B Prebble

Began awkwardly. Soon resumed spot in pace group. Pressed passing 400M and found the winner too strong. Battled well for 2nd. Just failed closing stages.
4ABLE MAGIC  G Cheyne

Raced ahead of midfield early and tracked the leading division passing midpoint. Kept on to snatch a non-threatening 4th near the post.
5FOR SZESZE SAN  B Doyle  (B)

Never far off the pace. Ridden passing midpoint but couldn't match the finishing effort of the front trio. Hung on for 4th until final stages.
6REAL GENEROUS  Y T Cheng  (H)

Slow to begin and was bumped. Shaken up and reached the back of midfield midpoint. Hard ridden from 400M and covered some late ground but was beaten far by the principals.

Niggled early and raced within 3Ls of the pace. Gradually dropped towards rear midpoint despite effort of rider. Made some headway closing stages.

Behind pace early. Dropped to midfield midpoint. Responded fairly when asked passing 400M. Held ground thereafter.

Got its head up at start and was then hampered. Raced behind midfield early. Brief progress passing 400M but no extra final furlong.

At rear early and middle stages. Beat tired runners home.

Severely checked after start and raced towards rear. Improved to midfield at midpoint but failed to sustain passing 250M.
