1LEADING CITY  D Beadman  (H)

Allowed an easy lead, was strongly challenged soon on straightening but kept responding to pressure, well in control inside 100M.

2ZAIDAN  J Lloyd

Slow to begin, settled towards the rear 4Ls off the pace, quickened well inside 400M and went 2nd 50M from home. Encouraging first up.

3EL MORRO  C Y Ho  (H)

Tracked leader along the fence, loomed a threat 300M out but couldn't quite to the leader, faded inside 100M and lost 2nd 50 from home.

4JACKPOT DELIGHT  W C Marwing  (TT)

Near the rear early but improved to a midfield position approaching the home turn, stuck to inside throughout, stayed on for 4th without too much of a threat.

5PAGANINI'S SOUL  D Whyte  (XB)

Within striking distance but was 3-wide without cover, kept on only at the same pace final 400M. (Jockey reported the horse felt uncomfortable in its action in the straight.)

6NIGHTLIGN  B Doyle  (P/H)

Taken back on jumping from a wide barrier, raced in last 5-6Ls off the pace, taken widest in straight but made limited progress only.

7BERIO  K C Leung  (V)

Moved forward to track leader one out one back, couldn't keep up turning in, weakened rapidly inside 200M. (Jockey reported his saddle shifted 700M.)

8MOONWALK  M Du Plessis  (H1)

Travelled 2-wide in midfield, found little under pressure, dropped away 250M out.

9APPRECIATION  M L Yeung  (V/TT)

Near the rear and didn't respond to pressure in straight, soon behind and eased 200M from home.
