Comments

1GOOD BOY BOY  Z Purton

Raced in second position, 1 off. Hit the front near the 200 M and found something extra to draw a margin over the concluding stages.

2RIDE ON THE FIRE  M Guyon  (TT1)

Travelled 2-wide behind the leaders. Loomed up approaching the 250 M, and maintained a sound gallop all the way to the post.

3DANE PATROL  Y T Cheng  (B/TT)

Speared straight to the front along the paint. Held a narrow advantage for most of the trip but was collard near the 200 M. Gave ground late.

4AMAZING SKY  G Cheyne  (B)

Jumped awkwardly then was crowded shortly after the start parking behind midfield the fence. Closed off well to finish in the frame.

5ELUSIVE PRINCE  D Whyte

Not the best to begin, settling close to midfield the fence with cover. Kept to the inside in the home straight and worked home steadily without threatening.

6MEGABUCKS  B Doyle  (V)

Camped behind midfield 2-wide with cover. Battled away over the final furlong.

7BENEFACTOR  C K Tong  (H)

Ridden along early travelling just ahead of midfield, 1 off with cover. Lost some ground after the 600 M and was one paced in the final stretch.

8TURIN CHAMPION  T H So

Raced with the leading trio 3-wide without cover on the turn passing the 600 M. Not likely and gave ground after the 300 M.

9HAR HAR CHARMS  W M Lai

Began awkwardly settling behind midfield 3 deep with cover. Came widest over the final stages but only plugged to the line.

10INFALLIBLE CHOICE  H W Lai  (B/XB/H)

Took time to muster speed before spearing forward under hard riding to settle behind the leading division. Caught 3 to 4-wide on the circle without cover. Faded in the run home.

11TELECOM NEW STAR  B Prebble

Travelled at the rear some distance off the bulk of the field. Ran out very wide making the turn after the 600 M and was never a factor thereafter. (To trial.)

12GRAND STORE  M L Yeung

Was taken back from the outside gate settling well back. Struggled in the home straight. (See racing Incident report.)
