Soon improved to a prominent spot, travelled 1-out-1-back around the bend, hit front upon straightening gaining a 1L break under pressure over 200 M out, pipped at post.

Settled in midfield, baulked for a run until 300 M, ran on resolutely to be nearest at finish.
