Average break, travelled one-off the fence in mid-division, found plenty when cleared 350 M, in charge 100 M out and won going away.

Took up the running, quickened in the middle stages and built up a 2Ls lead going into the straight, kept on well but was firmly put aside by the fast finishing winner 100 M out.
3NAPA II  O Doleuze

Slow into stride and held up in the rear, 7Ls down turning in, gradually picked up down the inside and closed right in on the 2nd late on. Encouraging debut.
4FOREST STAR  M Chadwick  (TT)

Behind mid-division, 3-wide on the turn covered extra ground, ran on ok from off the pace but came too late to threaten the first three.
5REGENCY KINGDOM  F Coetzee  (TT)

First to jump, drifted back to midfield and raced 4Ls back on the fence, under urging from 500 M, couldn't step up a gear when required despite having no clear run from 300 M to 200 M.
6HIGH RETURN  B Prebble  (SR1)

Average jump, one off the fence in a position behind midfield 7Ls off the pace, took some time to get going but stayed on ok towards the line.
7MASTER RIO  Z Purton

Jumped well, ideally placed in 3rd, kept on in the first half the straight and showed some battling qualities, but effort flattened passing 150 M.
8SOU MA TAM  C Soumillon  (B)

Hard ridden early to go forward and raced one out one back from leader, responded fairly under urge before weakening inside 150 M.
9QUANTUM EXPRESS  Y T Cheng

In a handy position early, lost some speed and shuffled back near 600 M, plugged on under pressure but found not much in reserves passing 200 M.
10MATSUKAZE  J Winks  (B)

Began awkwardly and lost ground, settled towards the rear in a 3-wide running position, taken very wide to make his challenge on straightening but never looked likely.
11GRANDFIELD  M W Leung

Lost ground at the start, held inside running in a position behind midfield 6 to 7Ls back, unable to quicken when the race got serious. No impression.
12SPEEDY TYCOON  M Du Plessis  (H1/TT1)

Showed little pace in his debut and was struggling to keep up passing 800 M, trailed the field and gave no response to pressure.
13GOLDEN BAUHINIA  E Saint-Martin

Began well but eased back to a midfield position making the home turn, struggled to pick up when asked and faded out from 200 M. (Irregular Heart Rhythm.)
14TIBIDABO  C Williams  (SW1)

Drifted back from a wide barrier, unable to cross and was caught very wide over the turn, soon left behind passing 300 M.
