Began well, pushed forward to take box seat 3L from leader. Raced tight passing 1300m, held for run early straight. Powered through split 250m to lead and then held off strong challenge.
2着LOTUS STRIKES BACK　　S Clipperton　　(B)

Allowed to settle, dropping behind midfield in one-off position. Blocked for run early in straight, angled out 300m for clear passage, powered home to just fail.
3着HOLMES LEGEND　　H N Wong　　(H)

Hard ridden from outside draw, taking lead passing 1500m and crossing to fence. Kicked ahead in straight but collared 150m. Held on for third.
4着GENERAL SHERMAN　　M Chadwick　　(TT)

Jumped well but unable handle early pace, dropping towards rear and kept 3-wide mostly. Taken to centre track on straightening and ran on steadily to be closest at finish.

Began fairly, outpaced, dropping to rear but away from fence. Raced right early in straight, switched out and finished off strongly.

Pushed forward from wide draw, settling 3L from leader but mostly 3-deep without cover. Battled on gamely early in straight before turning one-paced final stages.

Lifted front legs as gates opened and slow into side. Taken to fence and made up ground to 1400m when settled. No run early in straight, but ran on fairly when clear.

Outpaced, then shifted across behind runners to rail, trailing field to 800m. Stayed on rail around turn, given reminders passing 300m, ran on fairly.

Vigorously ridden to get forward position before being eased passing 1200m when 3L from leader. Not much room top of straight but battled on one-paced when clear.
