Began awkwardly, and dropped back to sit 2nd last before pressing forward along the rail from the 1000m to be handily placed 4th/5th by the 600m. Pulled away from 400m and only had one challenger late.
2着SANTA FE SUN　　R Moore　　(B/TT)

Steadied from the kick to sit last in back straight, 2L behind the 2nd last horse. Took short cut through worse going on the turn. Weaved through runners in the straight, closing on the winner, until both ran flat in last 100m.
3着JOYFUL TRINITY　　J Moreira

Eased forward early to sit midfield, on the rail. Had open ground, and well placed to chase at the 300m, but couldn't muster a big kick and only OK to the line.
4着WINNING LEADER　　K Teetan　　(B1)

Cruised forward early to find a position midfield, 4 wide. Stayed wide when pushing forward at 600m, and went for the better ground up the middle of the straight. Ridden positively, but didn't have a big kick in the straight.
5着MIGHTY MAVERICK　　K K Chiong　　(XB)

Bumped on jumping, then pressed forward to be well placed 1L off the leader, 2nd/3rd 1 off the fence. Ran on OK early in the straight, but looked to struggle in the conditions and fading late.
6着SERGEANT TITANIUM　　B Prebble

Had to push forward early from the wide draw to eventually sit 2nd 1L off the leader, 1 off the fence. Didn't have a lot left in the tank in the straight and went to the line 1 paced.
7着RACING HERO　　C K Tong　　(B/TT)

Pushed forward from the inside draw to be an early leader, before dropping back to 4th on the fence. Came off heels, and switched run towards the fence at the top of the straight, but only ran fairly.
8着CLOUD NINE　　H W Lai　　(H/TT1)

Dropped back early sitting just worse than midfield, 3-4 wide. Came widest on the turn, and only battled on fairly to the line.
9着DOYENI　　M Chadwick　　(TT)

Lost both front plates early and was stuck midfield 6 wide early, after not being able to muster speed from the wide draw. Didn't respond in the straight and only went to the line fairly. Jockey stated didn't handle track.
10着GREEN DISPATCH　　K C Ng

OK away and taken forward early to sit just forward of midfield, 3-4 wide. Came wider on the turn for firmer track, but never ran on in the straight and eased out late.
11着UP AND COMING　　C Y Ho　　(B/TT)

Eased forward early, initially sitting around midfield. Dropped back toward the rear by the 800m. Only plugged away in the straight, and never ran on.
12着GOODHEART SUCCESS　　M L Yeung　　(B)

Eased back early to sit worse than midfield, 3 wide. Last on the turn, never ran on in the straight and was eased out late.
13着CONSORT　　C Schofield　　(B)

Pushed forward early from the wide draw to be an easy 1L leader by the 1200m. Keen in front and was burnt out in the straight, and never ran on.
14着DYNAMISM　　D Whyte　　(H/SR)

Dropped back early and sat 2nd last by the 1200m mark. Held the rail and looked to run on from the 300m, but never responded to urgings and was eased out from the 150m.
